When a Brand Partnership Needed a Human Touch, We Made It Real

LV= x Family Action

We turned a charity collaboration into two films. One to inspire staff, and one to support families in need.

LV= is one of the UK’s best-known insurers, with a strong track record of supporting charities. Family Action is a national charity that provides practical, emotional, and financial support to families facing tough times. Together, they wanted to shine a spotlight on Family Line, a service offering vital emotional support to those who need it most.

The Brief

The challenge was two-fold:

  • Internally, LV wanted to inspire its staff to volunteer their time and energy for Family Line.

  • Externally, they wanted a film that showed families across the UK that help is available, and that Family Action is there for them.
    The content had to feel authentic, human, and relatable. Without slipping into cliché.

We brought together a team of actors, animators, and scriptwriters to tell the story in a way that felt both cinematic and personal. On location, we filmed drama-style scenes that reflected everyday family struggles. We directed and edited the footage, briefed and oversaw the animation, and worked closely with the voiceover artist to bring warmth and clarity. From the filming, we maximised value by producing two tailored edits: one internal video to encourage LV staff participation, and one public-facing video to reach families in need.

The Finished Video

The result was a pair of films that connected with two very different audiences but carried the same heart: showing the importance of Family Line and the power of LV’s support. Staff felt proud to contribute, while the public-facing video offered reassurance that help is just a call away.
